Reviews
The Frogs is perhaps Stephen Sondheim's most underrated score. Because the show only had a limited run in New York, it simply isn't as well-known as Sweeney Todd or A Little Night Music. But that doesn't mean the music is any less beautiful or interesting. "Ariadne" is one of Sondheim's most beautiful songs ever. "I Love To Travel" and "Hades" are as bouncy and toe-tapping as any show tune from the golden age of Broadway. The engraving for this score is very readable, and the binding is sturdy so it won't fall apart the first time you open it to play. If you aren't already familiar with this music you're going to love the process of discovery as you explore this score.
