In anticipation of the opening in 1955 of the Family of Man exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art, NYC, the editors of Infinity, the periodical published by the American Society of Magazine Photographers, devoted it's entire end-of-year 1954 issue to Edward Steichen, then curator of photography at MoMA. Includes an article titled "…my father" by Mary Steichen Calderone; an interview with Steichen; D.J. Ebin on Steichen's years at Vanity Fair; Victor Jorgensen on the photographer's time in the Navy during World War II (Jorgensen was one of the photographers working under Steichen at the time); and a transcription of an interview with Steichen from a tv show about the exhibition.
